You're growing a human. Of course you're going to worry.
Prenatal testing exists so you don't have to spend your pregnancy wondering. A NIPT test analyses tiny fragments of your baby's DNA that are already circulating in your bloodstream, giving you a clear picture of your baby's chromosomal health, including whether there is a higher chance of conditions like Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, or Patau syndrome. It is one of the most complete and accurate screenings you can do during pregnancy, with no invasive procedures and zero risk to your baby.

Curious, mama? We've got answers!
NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing) is a simple blood test that analyzes tiny fragments of your baby's DNA circulating in your bloodstream. It screens for chromosomal conditions like Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, and Patau syndrome with over 99% accuracy — all from a small blood sample, with zero risk to you or your baby.
You can take the EarlyReveal test as early as 10 weeks into your pregnancy. At this stage, there's enough fetal DNA in your blood for highly accurate screening. The sooner you test, the sooner you'll have peace of mind about your baby's health.
EarlyReveal screens for the most common chromosomal conditions including Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), Trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome), Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome), and sex chromosome aneuploidies such as Turner syndrome and Klinefelter syndrome. It also reveals your baby's sex if you'd like to know!
Absolutely! EarlyReveal is 100% non-invasive — it only requires a simple blood draw from your arm. Unlike invasive procedures like amniocentesis or CVS, there is zero risk of miscarriage or harm to your baby. It's completely safe for both you and your little one.
EarlyReveal boasts over 99.9% accuracy for detecting Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), with similarly high accuracy rates for Trisomy 18 and Trisomy 13. It has one of the lowest false-positive rates of any prenatal screening method available, giving you results you can trust.
A positive (high-risk) result means the test detected an elevated likelihood of a specific chromosomal condition. It's important to know that NIPT is a screening test, not a diagnostic one. A positive result should be confirmed with a diagnostic procedure like amniocentesis. Our team and your healthcare provider will guide you through next steps with care and support.
Most families receive their results in as little as 3-5 days after your sample arrives at our lab. We know the wait can feel long when you're eager for answers, so we've optimized our process to get you peace of mind as quickly as possible.
You can order your EarlyReveal test directly. However, we do provide a requisition form that needs to be signed your doctor or health profession and that you'll bring to your local blood collection lab.
Currently, NIPT is not covered by most provincial health plans in Canada unless you meet specific criteria (such as advanced maternal age or a previous pregnancy with a chromosomal condition). However, many private insurance plans do offer partial or full reimbursement. We provide a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurer.
After ordering your kit, you'll receive a requisition form to bring to any local blood collection laboratory. A trained phlebotomist will draw a small blood sample from your arm — quick and simple! The sample will then be shipped directly to our testing facility.
Yes! EarlyReveal NIPT can determine your baby's sex as early as 10 weeks with over 99% accuracy. This is entirely optional — if you'd prefer to be surprised, simply let us know and we'll keep that information sealed. Many families love finding out early to start planning and bonding!
You'll receive a clear, easy-to-understand report delivered securely online. If further testing is recommended, our team will help connect you with the right healthcare professionals. You're never alone in this journey.
